From sea to shining sea

At a coffee shop again. I’m not really a coffee drinker. I’m here for the wireless internet. But, I’m trying an iced coffee, and I can see how people get addicted to the effect. Yikes!
I’m in a small northern WI town named Bloomer. Wow, the accents are strong in these parts! Probably the youngest person in here by quite a few years, but it’s a spunky bunch. The elderly woman at the table across from me is recounting a story about getting stuck going down a water slide naked! Brad Paisley’s song “American Saturday Night” is on the stereo. It talks about the variety of influences that have made up what is now considered “America”. It’s been obvious to me lately. Played a few more concerts in WI this week, and I still have no idea what to expect when I show up at the door.  I played for fighter pilots, football coaches, farmers, physicians and photographers. I’ve heard stories both tragic and beautiful. Just can’t sum it up with a few words. The range of emotions is life giving…or maybe it’s just an iced coffee high:) A few more snapshots of “America”:
Madison, WI-

Verona, WI-

Mt. Horeb, WI-

Verona, WI again-

La Crosse, WI-

Colfax, WI-

Also, in case you think of Wisconsin as only cornfields and cows, take a look-

Never know what’s around the corner!
